Advancing Female Careers is a student-led society, created to inspire and support women as they work towards their career goals.
We want to make the step from university to the professional world feel a little less daunting by helping women feel supported, inspired and ready to explore new opportunities.
Whether you have a clear idea of your future career or are still figuring out what you want to do, you’re welcome here. We want to create a supportive space where women can feel encouraged to aim high, discover new possibilities and feel more confident about their future.
Our mission is simple: to help women access opportunities, build connections and build brighter futures together.
Through our events and activities, we’re here to help make the professional world feel less intimidating, open up new opportunities and support you as you take steps towards your future career.
Here’s what we offer:
- Industry Speakers & Panels: Hear from professionals across finance, banking, consulting, technology, business and law.
- Networking Opportunities: Meet professionals and fellow students, make connections and grow your network.
- Career Development: Learn about internships, insight programmes, CVs, interviews and recruitment processes.
- Industry Insights: Discover different career paths, workplace expectations and opportunities.
- Skills & Confidence: Develop communication, networking and personal-branding skills.
- Community & Support: Be part of a welcoming space where women encourage one another, share opportunities and celebrate each other’s progress.
We’re just getting started! Keep an eye on this space for updates on our upcoming events. We can’t wait to share what we have planned with you!
Have a question, an idea or want to get involved? We’d love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to connect with new people and explore new opportunities together.
