Sabbatical Officer Elections 2023

Nominations are now open for UWLSU Sabbatical Officers!

Sabbatical officers represent UWL’s student body at in the Students’ Union, championing all student ideas and bringing them to the University. There are 3 positions available – President; (VP) Education; and (VP) Activities.

A Sabbatical Officer is a full-time, paid role where you will have to run in an election in which students vote for who they would like to represent them. If successfully elected, you will work as a team to enhance the student experience at your University for all other students!

Interested? We have a full Candidate pack that will give you all the details about what the election process is and how you can run for the position. Then, you can complete the nominations form to officially sign-up to run in this election!

If you have any further questions or queries about the role, please contact a member of the Student Voice Team or email su.elections@uwl.ac.uk

NUS Delegate

Every autumn, students are elected to represent UWL at the National Union of Students National Conference – these are NUS Delegates.

Nominations for NUS Delegate are now Open, nominate yourself here.

Sabbatical Officers

At the top of UWLSU, sit our Sabbatical Officers, who work to make changes and build an SU that represents our diverse body of students and gives them the best opportunities. Every year, every student at UWL has the chance to vote for who they want to represent them – you also have the chance to run, if it’s something you’re interested in!

Voting

You will have the opportunity to have your say on who will represent you. Voting is really simple. You can vote online (on this website) or on campus and it only takes 5 minutes. You will vote in preference order, so your 1st choice, then 2nd, then 3rd, etc.

Make sure to vote so that your views are represented, and your uni experience is the best it can be. Read the candidates' manifestos to make sure you make the right choice.

Our elections are for UWL students only.

We use the Single Transferrable Vote (STV) system.

If you have any complaints or queries about the elections, you can contact the UWLSU team at su.elections@uwl.ac.uk.
