Have a look through our International Student Guide to find out exactly what's on offer for our international students. It's here to help you during your time in the UK! Access it anytime on this page.

International Students' Society

UWL has a huge international community, with so many opportunities to get involved and find your home away from home. As an international student, you have access to the International Students’ Society. The society runs events for you to attend and meet other international students. Make sure to sign up so you can connect with other students.

There are also many cultural societies open to all students, such as the Nepalese society, Indian society and Chinese society. Check them out here.

UWLSU Advice

Another way in which UWLSU supports students is through a free, impartial and confidential advice service. Professional staff members provide students with advice, information and advocacy on a range of issues they may be facing, with a focus on academic issues. Find out more about the support they offer here.

Social Spaces

Our spaces on campus are here for you to chill, study, socialise and have fun! At St Mary's Road you’ll find the much-loved coffee shop, Coffee Union, Freddie’s and the gym. We employ a team of student staff to work within the SU with all profits going back into the activities and services that are run for students. As well as Fresher's Week, we also host a bumper events programme throughout the year including Black History Month, LGBTQ+ History Month, live music, wellbeing events and more.

International Student Trips

We want to give you the chance to explore the UK! Afterall, this is your perfect chance to see new places around the city and country. So far we have taken students on countless trips, including Brighton, Wales, Oxford and Winter Wonderland. This is just one of the ways we aim to make your time here great, by giving you affordable opportunities to travel.

Every trip is extremely popular, so keep an eye on your email for announcements so you don't miss your chance to get a ticket! See you there...

Helpful trip information:

1. Grab your ticket as they go on sale to avoid disappointment

2. You will receive an email with your trip itinery 1-2 days before it takes place

3. UWLSU aim to run at least 2 trips per semester

Got a question? Our Front Desk is open to all students. To chat to someone in person at the St Mary's Road campus, call 020 8231 2276 or email uwl.su@uwl.ac.uk.
