What's your name and what course do you study?
My name is Andrew Brown, I’m in my final year of part-time MA Advanced Music Technology at London College of Music.
Why did you decide to become a school rep?
I love networking, meeting people, and learning from people from all walks of life. LCM is full of that and I wanted a role where I could bring everyone together, rather than stay in their own lanes. I believe students do their best work when they feel seen, connected, and confident enough to start something and see it through. I want to help build that energy across the school.
What do you hope to achieve in this role?
I’d like to create more networking opportunities, communication and collaboration between the various London College of Music courses, including the staff! There is so much potential with all this combined talent…
How do you plan to represent and support students in your school?
I’ll work closely with Course Reps across LCM so issues from every course can be gathered properly, then take that to staff, boards and the Students’ Union. I’ll be available both on campus and online, and I want people to feel they can come at any time with concerns or ideas. I’ll raise what LCM students need clearly and make sure it’s followed up.
