What's your name and what course do you study?

My name is Ethan. I am a second year student studying Airline and Airport Management (with Placement).

Why did you decide to become a school rep?

I decided to become a school representative for the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism because I think it's important for all students studying at UWL to know that there is always a Student Staff Member to get in contact with who is on their side. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to represent and work with a portion of the student body studying a wide range of courses, ensuring that all their feedback and ideas are heard.

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

In my role, I hope to make every student feel heard, while resolving any issues that may occur during the academic year. I also plan to work with the Student's Union to help improve the overall student experience within the University. For example, I would like to find ways to improve class engagement, especially in seminars.

How do you plan to represent and support students in your school?

I plan on representing the students of the LGCHT by being approachable, both online and in person, where students can reach out, no matter how big or small their issue is! My ideal aim to support students is by being transparent, as well as keeping students up to date on any changes within their courses. Everyone has paid a lot of money to attend University, so I believe it's essential for all students to make use of the support that the University offers.
