03/12/2021 - 03/12/2021

1pm - 4pm

Walking from Brentford Campus

Hounslow Community FoodBox, a food bank, is a fantastic volunteer-run charity that provides emergency food, support, and advice to those who are in need of help and live in the London Borough of Hounslow.

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, referrals have increased by nearly 400% compared to 2019. Hounslow FoodBox rely on donations from the public in terms of both food and time, volunteering is critical to their operation.

On the day you will also help with sorting and logging donations, stock rotation and packing parcels.

What will you need? No experience necessary, just enthusiasm and a desire to help those less fortunate.

We will be walking to and from Brentford Campus (about 20 minutes), so wear something waterproof and warm enough for November/ December weather.

We provide:

- Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits

- Supervision to, from and during the activities.

To take part please sign-up HERE

This is a great opportunity to give back at a busy time of the year for food banks and help people who really need it.
