Professor Dr Nira Chamberlain has four mathematical doctorates and is listed by the PowerList 2022 as the “Top 100 Most Influential Black Person in the UK” (5th year in a row) and as the “Top 100 Most Influential BAME Leaders in the UK Tech” by Inclusive Board.

In 2018, he was the winner of the Big Math Off title –World’s Most Interesting Mathematician and is listed by the Science Council as “one of the UK’s top 100 Scientist”. He has joined the elite list of distinguished mathematicians who featured in the biographical reference book 'Who’sWho'.

Dr Nira Chamberlain was the President for the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) and is one of the few British Mathematicians to feature in the Encyclopaedia of Mathematics & Society.

Dr Nira Chamberlain has over 25 years of experience in writing mathematical models and simulation algorithms that solve complex industrial problems. He has developed mathematical solutions within industries such as the defence, aerospace, automotive and energy sectors all across the globe.

During his career, he has chaired and organised symposia at international mathematical modelling conferences and has been invited to speak at numerous prestigious conference events. As well as these accomplishments, he is the author of the paper “Long Multiplication and percentages without a calculator” which is based on a method he invented.
