Hounslow Community FoodBox, a food bank, is a fantastic volunteer-run charity that provides emergency food, support, and advice to those who are in need of help and live in the London Borough of Hounslow. Hounslow FoodBox rely on donations from the public in terms of both food and time, volunteering is critical to their operation.
This is a great opportunity to give back at a time where there is a surge in demand for food banks.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
These hours will go towards your Volunteering Award automatically, which is the same for any volunteering you do with the VTeam specifically. If you volunteer externally, you will need to fill a logbook and send it to us, you can email us for a downloadable copy. The VAwards have gone but if you still would like a certificate, you can attribute hours between June 2022 until the end of May 2023. Email us if you have any questions at thevteam@uwl.ac.uk.

Details
When: Tuesday 20th June,12:30pm – 3pm
Where: Meet at the Brentford campus reception and we will do the 20 minute walk together.
What will you need? No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a desire to give back. Any questions please email thevteam@uwl.ac.uk
Health and Safety: Please be mindful of coronavirus and the effect on the families that interact with Foodbox. Do not attend if you at exhibiting symptoms or have tested positive.
