Congratulations on securing your place at UWL and welcome to your new Students’ Union! The University of West London Students’ Union (UWLSU), is here to help you make the most of your university experience. UWL has a really diverse range of students, we know that some of you are parents/carers or returning to study after some time out and we want to do all we can to support you. Being involved in your SU means that you can have your say on how your course is run, get the chance to meet new people by joining a sports club or society, develop your skills with a student job and try loads of new things.

Your elected officers

Your SU is democratically led, and each year three students are elected by you to represent your views to the university.

Jacob Pepper

I’m Jacob your Students’ Union President and I’m really looking forward to representing you. I was previously VP Activities and Participation and graduated in 2017 from BA (Hons) Events Management. My focuses this year are Student Mental Health support, supporting students financially and removing barriers to success for BME students.

Ancha Joof

VP Activities and Participation

Hey everyone, as your newly elected VP Activities and Participation. I am excited to start working on making sports and societies more inclusive, and making our campus more eco-friendly with students' wellbeing in mind. I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone.

Janine Braithwaite

VP Education

As your re-elected VP Education, I represent every student here at UWL! All students need to feel part of our diverse family here and I want to reduce the barriers that prevent some from doing so. I’m a mother and a recent mature graduate but also a current masters student alongside my role, so I’m on this journey with you all!
