Our commitment to you
We will allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out. We will respect these, however, we ask you to only carry out exercises that have been taught to you be an exercise professional.
We will ensure that our equipment and facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy by carrying out daily routine checks to maintain high standards.
We will make sure that our staff are working toward or qualified to the fitness industry standards to deliver inductions, classes, consultations and 1 to1 personal training sessions.
We will make sure the only qualified members of staff deliver inductions, classes, consultations and 1 to1 personal training sessions.
On request, our trained staff will provide you with an induction to the Sports and Fitness Centre which includes training, instruction and advice on use of the centre’s equipment and the appropriate level of exercise for your ability.
Your commitment to us
You should not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition, (including medications) which might interfere with you exercising safely, you should get advice from a relevant medical professional before you use our equipment and facilities, and follow that advice.
You should attend an induction session with a qualified and autherised person and discuss your fitness goals and abilities with them. You should not carry out any activities which you have been told are not suitable for you. If you have a disability, you must follow any instructions given to you by a medical practitioner or qualified and authorised person in order for you to exercise safely
Exercise carries risk. You must make yourself aware of, and adhere to any rules and instructions which are communicated to you through staff, notices, email and website communication. This includes warning notices.
You should let us know immediately if you feel ill when using our equipment or facilities. Our staff members are not qualified doctors, but there will be a person available who has had first-aid training.
