Mind Yourself & Get Involved
Mind Yourself & Get Involved is UWLSU’s brand new physical activity & wellbeing program, it is designed to support you, your physical & mental health and wellbeing. We will be working closely with UWL’s wellbeing team of advisors and councillors as well as the UWLSU Advice Team. All of this has been designed to support you!
The program is aiming to improve your wellbeing by offering you sesions that focus on you!
Mind Yourself and Get Involved sessions, including:
- Power Yoga
- Wellbeing Walks
- Running Sessions
- 5-a-side - Fitness Classes
- Touch Rugby
And more to be added!!
Our Student Sports Activators will be on hand to meet you before the sessions, help you find your way and to support and encourage you during the sessions.
(They might even take part in the sessions with you!!)
You are encouraged to work at your own pace and to have as much fun as you can!
The Student Sports Activators will register you into the sessions and ask you to complete some feedback questionnaires to let us know how you are feeling about the session and your overall wellbeing. This will help us to improve the activities we offer and to ensure we are look after you!
How it works?
Join our Facebook group where you’ll get additional useful info and updates. We’ll use the facebook group as our main communication channel. The Student Sports Activators will be part of this community and on hand to answer any questions and to be there for you!
You can then decide which activities and or classes you want to take part in and when. The Student Sports Activators will attend sessions to welcome you into the sessions and activities and be a friendly face.
