About the program

Mind Yourself & Get Involved is our physical activity & wellbeing programme and this year we are launching an online timetable to keep you busy!

We all know the importance of keeping fit, being healthy and taking care of our mental health and wellbeing!!  Especially during a pandemic and the lockdowns that come with it…  We also know the challenges of finding the right class or session that fits what you need and when you want it! 

That’s why we’ve teamed up with Kings sport to provide a FREE online programme that fits around you. 

The online timetable has 50+ classes and sessions for you to choose from ranging from yoga and pilates, to HIIT workouts and barre, to Zumba and LBT.  There is also meditation and journaling in there to introduce you to some great practices which will positively impact your mental health and wellbeing.

Ab Blast 

The class will focus on strengthening your upper and lower abs, along with improving your back strength. Having a strong core will improve the way your body feels. 

Ballet Barre 

A modern version of classic balletic training incorporating classic ballet positions, with modern music, a combination of cardio and strength with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. 


A high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed and maximises calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast. 

Core Attack 

The class will focus on strengthening your upper and lower abs, along with improving your back strength. Having a strong core will improve the way your body feels. 

Dynamic Flow Yoga 

Yoga specifically designed to relax and improve your strength and flexibility, but typically faster paced with focus on the flow between asanas (postures). 

Functional Fitness 

A?whole body workout with a mix of body weight cardio and strength, where the pulse will be relatively high throughout. 

Glute Camp 

A class dedicated to strengthening the lower body using body weight resistance exercises in a circuit style to build muscle. 

Hatton Boxing 

A mixture of 3 minute rounds consisting of boxing combinations for abs, lower body routines and cardio drills to help you reach your fitness goals. 


High-intensity interval training, designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout combines short bursts of intense exercise with rest periods to maximise your exercise efficiencies. 


Hourly sessions with a wellness coach prompting you to get pen to paper to help manage thoughts and feelings more clearly. 

Learn To Juggle 

A class where a circus skills professional can teach you how to juggle in a creative way using items from your home! 

Legs, Bums, Tums 

LBT classes are suitable for all fitness levels. LBT is a full-body aerobic toning workout that will make you work up a sweat. ? 


15-minute guided sessions with a wellness coach to help reduce stress, increase calmness and promote happiness. 

Mindful Yoga 

Yoga that focuses on body and mind awareness rather than the ‘perfect’ pose, transforming it into a meditative yoga practice. 


A class that is targeted to improve your flexibility, build strength and develop control and endurance throughout your entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core and improving coordination and balance. 

Slow Flow Yoga/Restorative Yoga 

Yoga that incorporate asanas (postures) specifically designed to alleviate tension and stress throughout the body. 

Swing Train 

A fun-loving dance work-out to swing music that requires no experience - even if you think you have two left feet before you start, you will think otherwise afterwards! 


Max out and cycle through eight rounds of 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest, four times over. All-out effort spikes your heart rate and burns major calories in just a short amount of time. 

Tai Chi & Qigong 

A blend of coordinated body postures, movement and breathing to promote health and spirituality with warm up exercises, a beginners set of qigong and twelve step tai chi. 

Vinyasa Yoga 

Yoga specifically designed to relax and improve your strength and flexibility, but typically faster paced with focus on the flow between asanas (postures). 


An ancient art based on a harmonising system of development for the body, mind and spirit. The session includes breathing control, simple meditation and the adoption of specific bodily postures. 


A fusion of Latino and international music/dance themes which are fun and easy to do. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

How do I sign up for online classes? 

To get started, you’ll need to sign up to the free online class membership by clicking here.  

Once you’ve set up an account (this takes around 1-2 minutes), you’re ready to book class.?? 

What classes are available? 

We have 50+ classes available to you every week.  These classes vary from yoga?and pilates, to HIIT workouts, to?learning how to juggle.  There really is something for everyone!?? 

Do I need a GYM Membership or Sports Membership to attend a class? 

No,?as this timetable is delivered by King’s Sport, in collaboration with UWLSU.  The free membership to access classes does not require a GYM membership or Sports membership. ?Any memberships/passes affiliated with UWLSU GYM or Sports Team will not be affected by signing up to the free online class membership.? 

How much are the online classes? 

All of?our online classes are FREE so that you can Mind Yourself & Get Involved with some activity whilst living in through a pandemic or lockdown without spending a penny.?? 

Is there a limit of how many classes I can do? 

No, but we recommend that you only book a class if you intend to take part don't just book a session and not show up for it!! 

Will I need any extra equipment to take part? 

All?of?the?classes are designed so that you can take part without needing any extra equipment.? Should a class require equipment, the?instructors will be able to help you find household items that can be used. 

Do I need any experience to take part in the classes? 

No,?all of?the?classes are very inclusive and led by friendly instructors that will be able to challenge both beginners and experienced gym users.?? 


Terms and conditions 

  1.  ‘Mind Yourself & Get Involved’ online timetable refers to the schedule of exercise and wellbeing classes provided in collaboration with King’s Sport 

  1.  ‘Users’ refers to individuals who have become associate members of King’s Sport in order to access the ‘Mind Yourself & Get Involved’ online timetable. 

  1.  UWLSU reserves the right to end the collaboration with King’s Sport and the consequent free provision of the ‘Mind Yourself & Get Involved’ online timetable at any point. 

  1.  Users must be current UWL staff or student and have a valid UWL email address.  Anyone found to be accessing the classes without this status will be blocked by King’s Sport in line with their terms of use. 

  1.  Attendance data will be shared by King’s Sport to UWLSU in line with King’s privacy policy. 

  1.  Users agree that by signing up to become a member and booking onto the classes provided by King’s Sport, they are exercising at their own risk.  Users will sign a health commitment statement at registration. 

  1.  Places are limited, so only sign up to and book a class if you are going to attend the class to give other the opportunity to engage with the classes. 

  1.  The registration and booking link will be de-activated when we have reached our booking limit.
