We would love to welcome you to our gym, which is open to all UWL students, staff and alumni, as well as the local Ealing community. You can find our modern gym facility in Ealing at our St Mary’s campus, just off 'The Park'.
Our UWL Sports Centre is the perfect place to stay fit, with a fully equipped and newly refurbished gym and free classes for our members!

It’s not just about the facilities. We believe fitness and sport have a wider impact, helping you meet new friends, boost your wellbeing, discover new interests, and achieve personal milestones. That’s why we also run additional programmes and student-led sports teams as part of our community.
You can sign up online through the SU website or at the UWLSU Gym reception. Once you’ve bought your membership, just pop down to reception within 7 days to activate it.
Do I need to be part of a sports club or society?
Nope! Our gym is open to all UWL students, staff, alumni and local residents. You don’t need to be in a sports team to join.
What membership options do you have?
We offer day passes, monthly rolling memberships, and annual memberships, all at affordable student-friendly prices.
What’s included in the membership?
Every membership gives you access to all our gym facilities and equipment. If you’re on a monthly or annual plan, you also get access to all of our fitness classes at no extra cost.
Of course! You can grab a day pass to check out the gym and join a class before committing.
You can pay online or at reception with your debit/credit card. Monthly rolling memberships are set up on card payments—no UK bank account required.
We recommend it! New members are offered a free induction session so you can get to know the gym and equipment with one of our team.
Do you offer personal training or sports rehab?
Yes, we have a team of qualified Personal Trainers and Sports Rehabilitators. You can book one-to-one sessions directly at reception or email us at su.gym@uwl.ac.uk for more information.
Does my membership include fitness classes?
Yes. All members are able to book on and participate in any fitness class as part of your membership. To book simply download the TechnoGym app or speak to reception. Non-members can also access classes by taking advantage of our day pass which gets you access to a class for just £5. Stop by reception to get one, or drop us an email! Please note, day passes are subject to availability and space in a class cannot be guaranteed where purchased in advance.

What if I lose something in the gym?
We hold onto lost property at reception for about a week (or up to four weeks for valuables like phones or laptops.
Why do you offer women-only sessions?
To give women a safe, comfortable and welcoming space, especially for cultural or personal reasons.

What’s the cancellation policy?
Monthly rolling memberships: Cancel anytime by filling in the cancellation form at least 5 working days before your next payment date. Annual and paid-upfront memberships: These are non-refundable, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
How do I cancel my membership?
We would be so sad to see you go, but we understand that sometimes there are circumstances outside of your control that can mean you need to cancel your membership. To do this, please complete the form below and it will be reviewed and processed within 14 working days.
