About Us
Our group is a football society, specifically for Drama Studio London students to train and play for the DSL FC and compete in the new 'Drama Schools' League' which was established in the 2021/22 academic year.
As drama school training is a full-time course, requiring students to commit to 30+ contact hours per week, it has never been possible for students to participate in University Sport Societies due to midweek fixtures...until now!
This year a league was created consisting of 16 teams made up of some of the most prestigious performance arts schools in the country. Training will take place on Wednesday evenings on newly built 3G pitches at the Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub, with fixtures being held on weekends in order to avoid any clashes with your studies.
It is our aim to provide a social outlet, to help keep students physcially and mentally healthy, whilst not impacting on their studies. Also providing the opportunity to have fun and enjoy the sport we all know and love. It's also a great way of networking with other actors, performers & creatives.
We welcome students from all backgrounds to get involved with the Club so whether you're a Seasoned Veteran in the sport or have never played before, by all means head on down for a kickabout!
Membership
A membership to the DSL FC Football Society will allow you the opportunity to meet like-minded people, take part in weekly training sessions, play in competative fixtures as well as attend social events.
Our yearly Memberships costs £50
The membership fee goes towards hiring the 3G Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub pitches for weekly training sessions and home game fixtures, arranging travel to away fixtures outside of London and purchasing new equipment required by the club.
