Ancha Joof, President

What's your name and what course do you study?

Hi, I’m Beyonce Morris, and I’m in my third year of BSc (Hons) Child Nursing.

Why did you decide to become a school rep?

I decided to become a School Rep because I really enjoy supporting others and making sure students feel heard. Studying healthcare is amazing but can also be tough at times, so I wanted to help create a space where people feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences.

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

This year, I’d love to strengthen the connection between students and staff, making sure feedback is listened to and acted on. Most importantly, I want to make a positive difference to student wellbeing and help make our university experience the best it can be.

How do you plan to represent and support students in your school?

I plan to do this by being approachable and open, listening to any concerns or ideas, and making sure they’re passed on to the right people. I’ll keep students updated, point them towards support if they need it, and hopefully be someone they know they can come to for help.
