Introducing Bee your school rep for School of Human and Social Sciences

School of Human and Social Sciences

Ancha Joof, President

What's your name and what course do you study?

My name is Bee Adams and I study MSc Psychology Conversion

Why did you decide to become a school rep?

I was eager to continue my role of school rep again this year as I really enjoyed supporting students & helping them to navigate through their university journey. It is a very fulfilling role being able to work through any feedback students give to help enhance their academic experience. I have truly loved being a friendly face for students to turn to & cannot wait to see what this year holds!

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

This year I hope to help students feel comfortable & supported at university, to find their voice & help them advocate for any changes they may wish to see. I hope to be a place that students can feel comfortable turning to. Ultimately, I want to ensure every student feels heard & represented, & that their university experience is as positive & inclusive as possible.

How do you plan to represent and support students in your school?

I plan to represent & support students by making their voice heard! I firmly believe that the importance of open, clear & regular communication between representatives & university staff cannot be overstated. I want students to have faith in the fact that I am listening & openly advocating for students whenever I can, no matter how big or small the feedback may be. I will be in regular communication with various teams throughout the university, advocating for students & relaying any feedback I have been given.
