A bit about Darren
Darren Douglas is a former UWLSU employee who worked for the SU Advice Service and Student Voice team. During his tenure with the Student Union, he personally represented more than 1,000 individual student cases and achieved notable recognition and accolades for breaking student engagement records for Advice on Tour campaigns and the Big Conversation project, as well as winning a Star Award for ‘Best Support Staff Member 2020.
What is the session?
This April he will be taking part in a live discussion with your Union President Ancha as part of the ACE network.
He will be talking about his life, and personal journey and how he came to write a book called ‘Power of 21 - Pathways Towards A Brighter Future’.

Featuring a taster into different industries from music and art to sports and beauty.
During this ACE session, Darren will be discussing the following:

- Giving tips on writing literature
- Discussing how to be a good role model/leader.
- What motivates him
There will be a Q&A facilitated by Ancha for you to get involved in too.
